The image was tweeted by Reed, and it reveals that Quantumania is set to use the same technology as The Mandalorian, of which Reed also directed two episodes. The image is a reflection of Reed standing in front of a huge screen displaying a snowy backdrop. As Reed’s tweet states, this screen is known as The Volume, and is used by ILM to produce realistic on-set backdrops while shooting, rather than the more traditional method of using green screen and adding backgrounds later.
